All About Battery Hens - Disclaimer: Graphic Pictures

A very graphic article (title did worn of the images, thank you for that disclaimer). It explained in detail the cruelty that battery hen (and chicks) endure. As horrible as the things are that are in this article and the truth that follows, the article would have done well to explain some of the reasonings behind the things that happen along with the rest of the setup in the poultry barns (ventilators for example). Also, it would have been helpful to include that when these hens die or are culled (some of these factories do humanly cull their sick and injured), that a certain percentage of them are tested against diseases. Thank you for sharing this article and increasing awareness.

I suggest a disclaimer in the title, even though no blood is splattering around, some of the pictures are quite graphic, especially with the textual explanation.

But: Five stars for the pictures alone! - How were those obtained?
