| Additional Information | Sec. 3-14. Animals prohibited as novelties. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer for sale, rent, barter or give away as toys, premiums or novelties, baby chickens, ducklings or other fowl under three (3) weeks old, rabbits under two (2) months old, unless the manner or method is first approved by the animal control authority. (b) It shall be unlawful to color, dye, stain or otherwise change the natural color of any chickens, ducklings, or other fowl or rabbits or to possess for the purpose of sale or to be given away, any of the above mentioned animals which have been so colored. No. 2867-10-09, § 1, 10-27-2009) (c) Livestock pens, stables, corrals, or enclosures shall be capable of preventing the entry of the general public and capable of preventing the escape of the livestock.(e) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any fowl, such as chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, pigeons or guineas, except when the same are kept more than one hundred fifty (150) feet from any property line.(1) All animals shall be provided with daily food and water, free from contamination. Such food shall be wholesome, palatable and of sufficient quantity and nutritive value to meet the normal daily requirements for the condition and size of the animal;(4) Flies and other insects must be controlled through general sanitation and necessary means; |
