When you notice one or two of your chickens are missing look around. If there is a pile of feathers your bird was probably eaten by a racoon or a hawk right in that spot. Now if there is just a trail of feathers that stops suddenly it was probably either a hawk, coyote, or a fox. If you dont find a pile, or trail, of feathers it was probably wandering and got taken away or just ran away. I have 2 female barred rocks delila and sel one is 4 months and the other 3 months. I have 5 golden sebrights all of them 3 months old. Havent given them names yet. 4 silkies all 4 months old. Named one fowhawk and thinking of the rest. 1 rhode island red named pipe that is 4 months old. 4 red stars, jupe dune speckles and comet. all 4 months. 1 tetra tint named shelley 3.5 months old. And 3 partridge rocks all 3 months old no names.
