After doing research on the site, I decided to make this coop as cheap as possible. My husband and I have cattle and just happen to have A LOT of pallets around from all the mineral and feed we buy. So pallets were the material of choice. We used 2 pallets on each side and strengthened it with 2x4s. We added tamarack poles at downward slope from front to back on the top for a roof. So we live out in the country but not on a farm. My husband and I have 200 head of Angus cattle, 8 Quarter horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats. However, we are still looking for a farmstead, so the large animals are at another location 10 miles away.
