Axl was hatched out from some eggs I bought on ebay. It was my first time successfully hatching eggs, and I was thrilled to have 10 little ones hatch!

Here he is on the left...straight out of the incubator.

A little older here - it's becoming more obvious that he's a boy - and I didn't intend to keep any boys from this hatch - but he was really cool looking so I held onto him.

    Feathered out...

Here he is at about 7 months old...I'm very happy I kept him. He turned out gorgeous, and he's such a good roo. Very sweet to the girls (and protective of them), but neutral to me.

One of my favorite pictures...I snuck in close while he was taking a dust bath!

And here are two of his hatchmates...this is Rue...

    And her sister...

In the hatch, there were 10 chicks, and 6 of those were boys. I kept three roos - two solid white, and Axl. The two whites were unfortunately killed in the same predator attack as the white sister.
There were 2 blue and red boys, which I gave to a member on this forum. I'm not sure if they had Axl's lacing, I gave them away before their lacing would have really developed. Unfortunately they were also killed a few months later.
There was also a red and white roo that I sold to someone locally along with a group of pullets, but I never heard from them after they bought the chickens.
One of Axl's sisters (the blue one on the bottom) does show some lacing, so I think she's split for lacing.

Beautiful EE rooster and hens, sorry to hear that his white sister was killed. If you were able to find a home or sale any of brothers, how did they turn out as roosters ? I hope they turned out to be as good as rooster as Axel.
