    i've heard one is not supposed to keep chickens in Bangor, but i've done it anyway. I'm out near the Orono line and there is a spot a bit in-town from me where a fellow used to raise a couple dozen beef cattle each year, so I assumed i'd be far enough out of town to get away with it.... looks like that's true, since we have horse operations and various other 'farming' activity around. Good thing, since I ended up with a rooster who crows. I am so blessed to have a neighbor on one side who actually said 'we love hearing your rooster!' ...i suppose now that the girls are laying regularly taking over a dozen eggs would be a good plan! :)
