Additional InformationSec. 3-4. Fowl not to go at large. It shall be unlawful for any person owning or having under his control or management any chickens, turkeys, geese or other domestic fowl to allow same to go at large, either upon the public streets or grounds of the city or upon any private property of another. (Code 1972, § 3-5) Sec. 3-6. Prohibition of the sale, trade, rental, lease or giving away of animals in certain places. (a) No person shall sell, trade, rent, lease or give away, or display for such purposes, any live animal within the city on or at: (1) The right-of-way of any public street, road or highway; (2) Any roadside, unless the person is the owner or lessee of the property abutting the road and is not on the public right-of-way; (3) Any commercial or private parking lot, unless the person is the owner or lessee of the parking lot; (4) Any city-owned property; or (5) The premises of any food service establishment. (b) A violation of this section is an offense (misdemeanor) punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00). (Ord. No. 2007-003, § 1, 7-10-07)
