Additional InformationSection XI C. Agriculture. 1. A farm, farm use, customary farm occupation, nursery, greenhouse, or cold storage plant, including those buildings and structures used for agricultural operations, shall be permitted as a principal use in all single-family residential districts. The raising or keeping of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, game birds and rabbits shall be permitted. The keeping and breeding and raising of hogs, foxes, pigeons, rodents, primates and any other fur-bearing animals shall be prohibited. 2. All buildings or structures used for agricultural purposes shall conform with the front, side and rear yard setback requirements of the zoning district within which it is located, except no building or structure used for the raising or keeping of animals shall be erected closer than 150 feet to any property line. No pens or runs for poultry shall be permitted within 250 feet of any property line. (Amend. of 7-13-2000, § 2, eff. 7-23-2000) 3. The total floor area of all buildings used for any of the above purposes shall not exceed ten percent of the lot area. 4. No single building shall have a total coverage in excess of 5,000 square feet or a horizontal dimension greater than 100 feet, except that these dimensions may be increased to 10,000 square feet and 200 feet if the building is set back at least 300 feet from all property lines.
