Broody info???? please help!!!!!

    Hi guys I need help!!!! its almost chick-season and i need some pointers on broody hens! i already got a orp sitting, i am going to kick her off the nest until warmer weather. but just to be safe and ready i need to know if i should make a broody coop, isolate broodies, change thier feed, ect... all info appriciated[​IMG]

    I would suggest making a thread with this info, instead of an article. :)To do that, go to http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-hatching-eggs
    and press the blue "Start a new thread button". That will give this more visibility, and more people experienced in broody hatching can see this and help more easily.

    Having a separate pen would make it easier, then you do not have to worry about someone picking on the chicks when they hatch or someone laying new eggs in with the ones your broody is sitting on.
