Buff Orpington Eggs

By CHICKENBOY 1 · Jan 11, 2012 ·
Orpingtons lay about 175 to 200 medium to large light-brown eggs a year. They do not stop laying in the winter. It was said to at one time lay as many as 340eggs per year. This decline in production was due to breeders selecting for looks over utility. The chickens also get large, so they are suited for eating also. They are also great mothers. All of these qualities make them perfect Homestead chickens. My experiance says this is probably the 2nd to the best birds i've ever had and they kick but as mothers.to order click here
