Chickens & Euthanasia

Is is possible to obtain medicine from my local farm store to give or inject into the suffering chicken to euthanize it?

Good article on a tough subject. I had a chicken who bloated. After reading through BYC last year I did the following: picked her up carefully (she was suffering) bathed her in warm water briefly, wrapped her in a nice towel, gave her a kiss and placed her on her back. After about 2 seconds she was gone.

It's definitely a tough subject for sure.
I'm new to chickens and I knew this subject would be coming up at some point on my farm and knowing it would fall to me to do it.
