Robeys Retreat
My husband and I purchases thirty-two acres on top of a mountain in western Maryland. It use to be an apple orchard; we have few trees that are still producing red delicious. We moved here to get away from all the rushing and running around from our last home in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We are truly blessed to have been able to do this and thank God everyday.
I love to garden, cook, and preserve fruits and vegetables. We have fresh herbs year round and enjoy the basics of life.
We are new to chicken raising with lots of enthusiasm and thirty-six chickens. We got our chicks when they were one day old and have not lost a one. I had no idea chickens could have their own personalities and we have grown quite fond of them. They are twelve weeks old.
