Cluckys Cluckers

This is my extremely attitudinal easter egger pullet, Natty. Her namesake is Natty Gann from the movie "The Journey of Natty Gann" - another female with a big attitude. Don't get me wrong, I adore Natty...she's a very spunky little thing, she's just not friendly toward humans. She's great with other chickens (even very tiny chicks).

    Natty has been vent sexed.

Picture taken 12/19/2012 - she reminds me of a vulture, I hope she pretties up a bit. She also has the biggest feet of any creature I've seen in my entire life...apart from Godzilla in the movie of the same name. I even googled pictures of easter eggers (thinking maybe they just have big feet)...nope, not really. Hers are just massive....very long toes that look more like fingers. O_O

Here's my lone Silkie (no name until I know gender). He/she is the lone survivor of a really horrible incubation with an extreme temperature spike. I'm surprised anything made it out of there alive, but he/she did.

These are my 7 week old Norwegian Jaerhons. The cockerel (any male chicken under 1 year of age is called a cockerel) is named Lancelot. The pullet (female chickens under 1 year of age) is Guinevere. Lancelot will be going to live with my friend, and fellow forum member, cjwaldon. I love both of these birds equally as much, and hatched them out from cj's eggs. They are dear to me, and extremely tame.

Pictures were taken on 12/16/2012 (I think)

OKAY so she's not a chicken, but she is extremely talented at impersonating one. She has baby chick sounds down to an art form, and is constantly making me mad-dash to the brooder because I think something is wrong (pretty sure she does it on purpose). She's now starting in on the Serama crowing...and has it half down, but runs out of breath before she's done. =) This is Willow, our American budgerigar, also known as a parakeet. I may not have all the answers with regard to chickens, but if you need help with your budgies (American or English), I'd be glad to help.

Moral: Don't keep the parakeet near the brooder
