The minimum amount of chickens is 3 because chickens are flock animals. I have decided to only get 3 because i am only 11. If you have a child I am sure they would love it if you got them 3 chickens. you should decide how many chickens you get by the size of your family and how much eggs you would eat. I have a family of 4 but we don't eat many eggs.
