Our Silver-Spangled Hamburg bantams live happily together in their chicken tractor, built from scratch from our own design with 2 x 2's, chicken wire, hardware cloth with a classic galvanized roof. The coop has 2 sections: a yard -- open to the ground for pecking and a bedroom/roost area with a wire floor, food and nest box that can be locked tight at night for safety. Wheels at one end, and handles at both, allow the tractor to be moved daily by a single person or a couple. At a recent Girl Power College Graduation-Garden Soiree, the chicken tractor doubled as a "Soda/Wine/Beer Bar". A mighty handy item to have about the yard!
