Describe 'FreshEggers' here

Thanks to all the designs on this site, I built my first coop with design elements from so many different coops.

Hope this pays it forward.

Framing

roof goes on. original plan was a hip roof on each end, hence the long 2x3 sticking out on the right.
The extension was for an attached run.

Hip roof with nesting suite below. It is a nesting suite because I only have two chickens :)

siding goes on. big opening on the left is for double door for my access for cleaning.

working on roofing. Almost considered calling the roofing guys to do this since
I didn't have the proper tools to cut small pieces of shingles. As you noticed,
I decided to not include an attached run so I removed the roof extension.
Now I have a hip roof on one end and a gable on the other.
I just fenced in this part of the yard as a big run instead.

Now the fun part. Everything is painted, just some minor details left...like the traction for the ramp.

screened window made of welded hardware cloth stapled in the inside.

French doors big enough for me to go inside for cleaning

Nesting box 1: both chickens lay here

nesting box 2, vacancy signs still up

Now I need to look for a few more ladies for them to hang out with.

Please let me know what you think. The project was fun...took 3 weeks of sweat and hard work.
