I only have 7 chickens; that hardly compares to others. But, my chickens have so much personality!! I start off with the first chicken I ever picked to buy...
Penny is my Production Red. She lays eggs, and she lays them a lot. She's 1 1/2 years old. She is so funny. The way she runs looks like she's picking up her skirt and running like the hens on T.V. Her favorite thing in the world is Happy Hen Treats. She once flapped over a large dog to get to them. She acts as the momma and the roo of the group in one. When the large red tail hawk comes out, she is the one to alert everyone.

Penny watching out for treats...

Maggie is my Barred Rock. She is Penny's sister and protects her like nobody's business. She attacks any chicken who looks like they're thinking about coming over. She is pretty aggressive towards other chickens, but she's pretty sweet to me. If anyone threatens anything she cares about, it's bye bye to them. Her favorite food is plant seeds. She eats everything in sight.

Flap away!!!

Maisy is a campine mix, I believe. She is small with a very calm temperament. She is relaxed but will defend her friends when sparked. Her favorite thing in the world is a fat juicy worm. She's about 1 year and 3 months old. She crouches down when I come to pick her up. She is super sweet and runs over when I sit down to come in my lap. She is Daisy's sister.

Daisy is an Australorp. She is HUGE!! She is super sweet and calm. When a chicken raises a fight, she just walks away without even an angry "bok". She lays huge eggs and she is so funny to watch. She loves all other animals and will make friends in an instant. She's friends with all of my chickens. She is very reluctant to go back in her coop, so catching her is a job. She always ends up just walking back in anyways.

Lucy is my Welsummer. She is an adventurer and loves to run around. She is 2 1/2 months old. She's finally clucking! I think she is a very pretty chicken in the face, and I am super excited for her eggs! She LOVES food. I think her favorite place in the world is her coop! She is in there a lot.

Lacy is my Golden Laced Wyandotte. She is the fastest chicken I own. She still peeps, while her sister, Lucy, is clucking. She's all feathered out now, and loves water. She jumps in it all the time. :)

Rosie is my silkie. She is 1 year and 2 months old. She is like a momma to Lacy and Lucy. She is very afraid of Penny, Maggie, Maisy, and Daisy. She is really sweet to me, Lucy, and Lacy. I love watching her around the yard, she lays down to eat her weeds! She was broody for months until I moved her in with Lucy and Lacy. I guess she just needed friends.

Thanks for reading about my chickens!
