SILKIES

Our Silkie pens are divided into colors. In 2014 we are cutting down to White, BBS, Buff, Paint and a Porcelain/Lavender pen. We have several excellent bloodlines in our Silkie pens, including Jack Ferguson, Judy Lee, Geri Godina, Bobbi Porto and Catdance Silkies. We have had several excellent results in shows, including a Splash pullet taking BV, a Porcelain pullet taking Best AOV, a Paint rooster taking Reserve AOV (behind the Porcelain pullet) and one of our White pullets taking BV and BB at a show in 2013.





ORPINGTONS

We are currently breeding English Orpingtons in Black, Blue/Black/Splash, Buff, Chocolate, Chocolate Cuckoo, Cuckoo, Gold Laced, Jubilee, Lavender, Lavender Cuckoo, Mottled, Partridge, Red, Red Cuckoo, Silver Laced, White. We like our Orps large and fluffy and that is what we breed for. We love our Orps! Updated pictures to come in the near future.





WYANDOTTES

We have a quad of Blue Laced Red Wyandottes we purchased in 2012 directly from Jerry Foley. All of our birds are blue with that dark mahogany color everyone loves! (Please disregard terrible lighting, lol) We have two more hens growing out which are from Foley parents. We have GREAT fertility from this pen - we have been hatching since January and only had one egg not hatch. The roo does his job well. We also will be breeding White Wyandottes and Silver Laced Wyandottes in the near future.





AMERAUCANAS

We caved into popular demand and purchased some pure Ameraucanas, which are the newest addition at Hardin Poultry. We have a breeding trio of a Lavender roo, a Lavender hen and a Black hen from crystalcreek. They are from Shaffer and Smith bloodlines. We have some young Blue and Splash Ameraucanas growing out and will be offering eggs and chicks later in 2014.

CRESTED CREAM LEGBARS

Like everyone else, our Crested Cream Legbars are from... Greenfire farms. There are currently two pens - a non-crested pen, and a crested pen. We also have some pullets almost at POL in March 2014 and they are more correct for cream than our original birds.



POLISH

Our Tolbunt Polish pen consists of a frizzled Tolbunt rooster over a smooth Tolbunt hen and a smooth Tolbunt/Gold Laced hen to help diversify genetics in the Tolbunt bloodlines. Our birds come direct from Cardinal Ridge Farm, who has Bare Necessities bloodlines in her flock, NOT Greenfire Farms lines.
