Welcome to:
Evergreen Creek Farm's Pet Chickens and Production Birds

Hello, thank you for visiting my chicken page! I'm chicken CRAZY I personally own 13 chickens, although the rest of my family owns like 15 more.
I'll start with my production birds:
First there's Stacy:

As you can see she's a beautiful White Leghorn pullet. She is a survivor of prolapse, which she got about two months ago. She's a pretty sweet chicken too the other chickens although not to much with me. She's very skittish and flighty, because that's a Leghorn's nature. Although, for a Leghorn, she is very tame.

Queenie

As you can see she is a Rhode Island Red. She's my oldest chicken, she's about 2 1/2 years old. She is a survivor of a coyote attack in which we lost 9 chickens. She is actually very unique because she is a lighter colored Rhode Island Red (although that means she's not a very good quality chicken for showing purposes). She is very sweet, she always lets me pick her up. Although she doesn't like to be held very long and she tries to get out of my hands.

Honey:

As you can see she is a Buff Orpington. She is a amazing chicken. She is always there for me and clucks back when I talk to her. I'll warn you, she's good at hiding it but she's very fat (lol) and is difficult to hold because she's so heavy. She has a so-so temperament varying from sweet to semi-flightiness.

Lacy:

As you can see she is a Black Australorp. I love this breed because of how the green sheen looks in the sun. Lacy made my record of laying 29 eggs in 30 days. I showed her at the fair this year and she got a first place ribbon! Lacy is very sweet and duck down to let me pick her up, but she has had a history of scratching and flapping to get out of your hands.

Ginger:

As you can see she is a Easter Egger. We actually crossed her ourself and incubated her egg. She has been known to have the fluffiest beard and muff out of all of the chickens. She is very sweet and enjoys lots of attention. She has been known to fly on my arm and my head.

Johanna:

As you can see she is a Black Turken (Naked Neck). She is difficult to take pics of which is why I only have a few. I showed her at the fair this year and she got best of breed. Her temperament is exactly like Lacy's. Sweet, flappy, and scratchy. Even though she may not look pretty I think that she is beautiful.

Pet Chickens!!!!!
April:

As you can see April is a Self Blue d'Anver. April is an amazing bird. I used her in the fitting and showing at the fair this year. She did great, and even fell asleep several times during it. April is really sweet when you hold her and very tame but she's extremely hard to catch! She's one of my favorite chickens.

Savannah:

As you can see Savannah is a Mille Fleur d'Uccle. I bought her at the fair this year. She is fairly sweet except her obsessive with sleeping in the trees.....I think she is very beautiful.

Liz:

As you can see Liz is a Frizzle Cochin Bantam. Liz is super fluffy and cute. She's like a little cotton ball! Liz is very...spastic....she's a tiny bit flighty and always fights

you just so you can hold her. I bought her at the fair along with Savannah. Liz also likes to sleep in trees with Savannah.

Sweety (AKA Leah)

As you can see Sweety is a Blue Silkie. She is a spasm, I tried showing her before. Big Mistake. She's normally semi-sweet and ALWAYS broody.... I just love how fluffy and soft she is :)

Lily:

As you can see Lily is a Porcelain d'Uccle. Lily is the best chicken ever. She always wants to cuddle and is always there for me. She's so cute and adorable no one can resist her!!!! When I went on vacation I missed her soooooooo much! No chicken can replace her. I'd show her but she's actually missing half of her toe which would be considered a defect. I always enjoy seeing her....always.....

Dannielle:

As you can see Dannielle is a Porcelain d'Uccle. She is my second favorite chicken. I personally think she's my cutest chicken. If you couldn't tell already by the pics she has a crooked beak. I've tried to trim it but she seems to be fine with it. She always hangs out with Juliet and Victoria. She's very sweet and I love her sooo much! :)

Victoria:

As you can see Victoria is a Mottled Houdan. She is my only standard chicken who is also considered one of my pets. She's always cheerful and running around the run, foraging. She's very sweet and she's my third favorite chicken. She always the first chicken to eat treats and get food. I love my happy little Houdan :)

Unfortunately, that's it. I'll be getting more chickens soon and I'll make sure to update it, until then fare well!
