My little red hens, that's what I was told my girls were when a friend offered them to me in June of 2014. After a little research I found out that I actually had red sexlinks but they will always be my little red hens

We had no idea how old they were but we didn't get our first egg until mid September. Our family has gone through a move to another state with our girls and I am proud to say without a hitch. In fact one of my sweet girls layed while we were in transit. They have settled well into their new environment and at least three of them have layed everyday since their first egg. I love my little girls! The one featured in the picture both when she was little and in the nesting box is Ginny Weasley and the one on the swing is Molly Weasley.
