Henny Penny my Black-Copper Marans cross. She is one of my favorites because she rules "her" flock with an iron fist, bossing around even the largest roosters. She is also my oldest chicken at the age of three.
Pheasant my Easter Egger from Townline. She is probably second in command and is two years old. Sadly she is my least friendly chicken.
Hawk another easter Egger from Townline. She is fairly bossy and is also two.
Peepers is yet another Easter Egger from Townline. She is very talkative, and when you say " Hi Peepers!" she will reply by cooing. Like both her sisters she is two.
Strawberry an Australorp from Townline. She always is ready to complain about something as soon as you walk into the coop. All of my Australorps are two as well.
Scruffy another Australorp from my Townline batch. When she was little she was very scrappy looking, hence her name. She is my largest Australorp.
Gizmo my final Australorp from Townline. She is the least standard looking Australorp because she has a discolored toenail and has quite a few white tipped feathers. Like the others she is two.
My Rhodebar rooster Rusty is one of my two roosters I picked to keep out of nine others. He is the boss roo and is protective yet gentle to his hens and is perfect around people, never showing any aggression. He is a year old.
My other rooster a Golden Cukoo Marans. He was my other great rooster out of the batch. He doesn't exactly have an official name because I have always affectionately called him Cukoo Marans. He is overly friendly and as soon as I walk out the back door he runs out of the coop (which is quite far from our house) and up a steep hill to stand beside you. He is also a year old.
My Gold Laced Brahma Cheetah, well she's supposed to be. When we ordered chicks from a breeder in Kentucky she came as a substitute for a Buff Laced Brahma, but since this is a new and not completly perfected variety, she turned out to be a throwback because she has a strange single comb and no lacing at all. So the closest "variety" that describes her is polka-dotted. Despite that, I personally think her type is nice, and boy is she HUGE
She is also a year old.
Larry Bird my sweet bantam Orpington. Larry is the lowest in pecking order, but she is super sweet! She never fails to make me smile because she is a little angel. She is a year old like the others.
Puffy one of my two three-quarter Silkie one-quarter Milie Fleur Belgian Bearded D'uccle sisters. She loves to go broody and is second lowest in pecking order even though her sister is the 5-7 highest. She is two years old.
Fluffy the other Silkie cross sister. She is very mean and grumpy normally, but when she goes broody she becomes annoying because you have to collect the eggs with gloves because she tries to scratch your hand to pieces. Like her sister she is two.
Patches one of my Rhodebar hens. She likes to get involved I what you are doing and sometimes takes it to far by biting my legs over and over for attention. She is a year old.
America another Rhodebar. She received her name because when she was younger she was mostly red with blue-ish tail feathers and white on her wing tips. Don't tell the others but she is probably my favorite! She is a year old.
Chocolate yet another Rhodebar. She is pretty friendly, sometimes she will even jump in my lap! When she was younger her and Patches were almost identical. She is a year old.
Millie the last Rhodebar hen. She loves negative attention so she will peck you constantly until you talk to or pet her. She a year old too.
Last but not least, Rosie a Cream Legbar hen. She is almost bantam sized even though she is large fowl. She is also a year old.
I recently received 19 new chicks from Horstman's Poultry!! I am very pleased with this batch and finally had a photo shoot of all the chicks. I don't know their personalities completely yet so I have only gotten to name a few, but you can give me name suggestions in the comments!

Here is my Silver Pencilled Plymouth Rock cockerel I decided to keep, Prince.
This is one of my Silver Pencilled Plymouth Rock cockerels, Droopy. He received his name because when he was young he had weak wings so they would hang down to the ground when standing. He also somehow broke one of his toes so it always looked bent. Another problem he had was that he had a ton of red leakage on his back, which made him almost salmon colored. Although he had many problems, he was also a really sweet boy. We recently took him to the auction so there won't be any updated pictures.

Here is my only Barred Plymouth Rock bantam pullet, Lucky. She received her name because when she came in the mail, she was very week, SUPER tiny, and I was never convinced she would live. Now she is happy and healthy and you would have never guessed that she ever had any problems!
