I used 2x4 for the foundation. I used ply wood for the sub floor.
I had 3/4 ply from a previous project that I used for the walls that go up against the fence.
I made a skeleton of my exterior walls, framed out windows and door opening.
Roosting boxes are 1/2 ply.
I used left over 1/2inch plywood for exterior siding.
One of my favorite features on this coop is the corner window.
Once cladding was done, I painted interior in gloss white for easier clean up.
I went with a light gray on the exterior just because I want my house this color, but my HOA won't allow me.
I used 1 1/2x3/4 trim for windows, doors and window frames. I also used 1/4 in plexi instead of glass.
I decided to go with a barn style front door. The plan was for it to slide open like a traditional barn door, but after researching the price of hardware I decided to use hinges.

In between the roosting boxes I put in another door that I made out of 1/2 ply strips glued onto a solid piece of ply.
For the chicken run I used 2x2 strips. It consist of three frames. I made a top frame, face frame and a end piece. I used same white exterior paint as interior of coop.
Front doors open up for easy clean up of the run.
Top opens up to for when I need to get in the coop.
I made ramps out of ply painted white.the landscape rock is going to be replaced with sand soon.
To keep my birds cool in this 120 degree weather I added a mister system. So far they seem to like it.
Lighting and possibly an AC unit are next.
