We want to take this time to share a few of our family favorite recipes. These recipes have been handed down from generation to generation. Some are Friday night hurry and rush favorites all the way to Thanksgiving Day dishes. We hope you want to try a few of the recipes we are presenting here and they fast become your family favorites as well. We have scanned these from the original recipes which were copied onto index cards. If you try any and like them please leave a comment and let us know what you think? We will be adding more of our favorite recipes as time allows.

The first is Al's Cheese Ball. This was created by Al 'brother in law' and makes a wonderful appetizer served on crackers, We serve this a lot during Derby Day and Game Day! It's become a must have on special occasions.

Side note: Al really likes his green onions, Shh, we've taken his recipe but where it calls for 1 bunch of green onions, we've used ONLY 1/2 a bunch instead, LOL

Where should I start? This has became a family tradition! No Thanksgiving would be complete without Roy's Dressing. Roy started making this over 40 years ago and not one Thanksgiving has went by without it. We use turkey broth but any good chicken broth will work. It generally takes about 5-6 cups of broth to get it to the right consistency you will want before baking. We use Pepperidge Farms brand stuffing mix. Generally it's one package of seasoned stuffing and one package of cornbread stuffing mix.

Oh how well I can still recall walking into the house to the heavenly scent which filled the rooms of my Grandmothers home. My Grandmothers name was Stella and she always made the most perfect dinner rolls. Well, this is her recipe. Truly amazing taste as they will melt in your mouth.

Had a busy weekend, huh? So it's Saturday night and company is due over most anytime. We have made this pasta for years now and it's always been a hit with anyone who's ever tasted it. Everyone always wants seconds so we've never had leftovers.

Side note: It's sort of embarrassing letting you see this recipe index card, LOL It looks terrible to say the least but you can see it's been used many, many times.

Here is one side dish which is great anytime! We make this summer and winter. It can be used on most occasions too. We have served this along with bbq'd spare ribs to that special Christmas Dinner. It's very simple to make too!

I think we have picked the perfect time of year to be including this family favorite! With colder weather heading our way this is a comfort food for those chilly evenings that's sure to please.

After that fabulous Old Fashioned Swiss Steak who has room for desert? I hope you do because this Shakertown Bread Pudding is sure to be a hit for you and your family. We cannot fully take the credit for this recipe as we have taken the recipe as provided to us from an old dear friend and upgraded it with a few more tasty ingredients. We hope you have enough on hands because everyone will be back for seconds, maybe even thirds!

Here is a side dish we hope your family will love as much as ours. Scalloped Corn goes great with so many main dishes. Try this next time you have extra corn on hand. It's out of this world using fresh corn right out of the garden too!

So, I'm sure we all have lots of fresh eggs on hand, right? Well this recipe is great for breakfast but also makes a wonderful evening meal just as well. We make this several times a year but it's always been a Christmas morning favorite with our family!

So here it is GAME NIGHT!! Serve this to your guests along with some beer and corn chips!

Simple to make but oh so delicious! Crab Cakes, a family favorite of ours. This recipe came from a great aunt of mine from the New England States.

One of our all time favorite comfort foods! Wonderful served with toasty buttered bread! What a way to spend a snowy evening at home with family and friends!

Well, we've come to the end of our family favorite recipes for now and what a way to end it! Have some bananas just getting a 'little too ripe'? Don't toss them out. Use them to make this tasty bread instead. Don't forget to have your butter out of the fridge and softening up, ya'll want to spread it on a warm slice of this bread fresh out of the oven and steaming hot

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look over a few of the recipes our family has come to love and have used through past generations. We hope you have found a few you would like to try in your family as well!
