I hope it's ok that I put these photos on a new page but I just had to share some more photos of our Silkie chicks (and I couldn't be bothered editing the other page and having to drag the photos to the bottom each time I added one). They just look hilarious at the moment as they have lots of pin feathers, but Silkie pin feathers don't look like your usual pin feathers.

Calypso looks the prettiest - I think the dark feathers hide the new ones very well. She is such a friendly sweetheart.

Dora's top knot is sweeping to one side currently.

Nugget (the little poser).

And poor Rainbow - I actually started to worry something was wrong with her but it is just her pin feathers making her look like she's been in something very sticky.

I can't wait for their fluffy top knots to burst forth!

I just had to add an updated photo of Dora because her top knot looks so darn aDORAble!

I thought I'd update this as my little uglies are looking so much cuter at the age of 5 weeks.

Here is Calypso who loves pats and cuddles, and will preen my hair if I lean close enough for a snuggle (they are so soft).

Here is Dora who has become very friendly, often beating Calypso to jump up and see us and who loves a pat too.

Here is Nugget, as laid back as ever and the only chick who seems unable to jump up on the edge of the cage when we open the door (she does try occasionally).

And Rainbow who peeps incessantly at her mother and who is a bit of a scatter brain. We've been calling her Poodle as a joke as she does kind of look like one at the moment!
