I picked out my favorite pics of my birds. They aren't all my favorite birds by they certainly take good photos. Warning, I got into the habit of taking my camera out with me to the chicken coops pretty frequently, so there are quite a few pictures. Some are great quality, and others I find so funny that they have to be included, even though that quality of the photo could use improvement.

Betty, Japanese, recovering from an injury. We put the bandage on to keep anything from getting on her injury, but it didn't really cover it. We did take this adore pic though. It looks like she's wearing a white bandanna.

I saw this hawk in the trees by our coop after it accidentally dropped it's dinner, a dead rabbit, on our chicken coop. Good thing we had a roof, but the hawk wasn't able to return for it's dinner.

Raoo, the runt of our guineas. He almost died when he was younger. We'd put them outside in the coop for the first time, and the next morning the other guineas were running around fine, but he was curled up trying to get warm. We had to take him back to the brooder and put him under a heat lamp. He's since recovered and is perfectly fine.

Rhododendron, Houdan. I was very happy the way this pic turned out, although it would be better if her sister wasn't in the pic.

Ingrid, Sebright, & Huginn, Sumatra, looking adorable.

Zoe, Barred Rock, giving me the stink eye.

All of my Houdans lined up. I just wish it was in slightly better focus.

These guys know how to get the ladies. ;)

I played with effects for the picture of Starbright, sebright, crowing.

Wander, d'Anver, taking a nap.

I caught Padfoot right as he was getting up.

Ninja, wyandotte, as an adorable little chick. She is currently almost five years old.

Nighthawk, australorp, seeing snow for the first time. This picture was taken several years ago, during her first winter. She is currently almost five years old.

Popcorn, Amber White (or Amber-link as they're now called). Her wings look like they're glowing because of their color and their movement. This was a perfectly timed picture.

Jupiter, australop cross, giving me the stink eye.

Jupiter on a walk. My sister put him in a cat harness.

Ninja & Nighthawk cleaning up the garden.

Turbo. He is terrified of chickens, but will put up with them, if he can be close to his human.

Kiwi, Khaki Campbell, as a little duckling. She was sooo cute when she was little. She adorable now, but in a different way.

Daisy, sebright, hanging out on the roof of one of the rabbit hutches we converted to nesting boxes.

Rosemary, EE, posing for the camera. She is usually very camera shy.

Basil & Sam, magpie ducks, as cute little ducklings.

Silhouette of Pluto, Spanish, ruling his coop.

True love: hanging together even with a fence between them.

Nighthawk being a gorgeous Australorp.

Wander, d'Anver, a little after we first intoduce him with the rest of the new chickens. He was smaller than everyone but his sisters. Now he's bigger than most the other bantams (excluding the Cornishes).

Marvel - Dutch

Moony - Spanish/Brahma

Trixie & Bubbles, silkies, hiding from the sun.

Everyone greeting me by the door.

Pierre, Houdan, chilling.

Rhododendron, Houdan, taking a drink from a puddle after a heavy rainstorm.

Ninja, wyandotte, being classy

Subku, Cornish, being serious. She has recently gone broody, but only broods her own eggs. She is very picky.

Angzotic, OEG, loves posing for pictures. He is older in the 2nd two pictures than in the first two.

Whisper, Spanish, being cute.

Basil is always watching, and looking for attention.

Tilda, Cochin, being non-camera shy for once. She is very good at taking bad pictures.

Pierre whispering in Spara's ear.

Cassie, buttercup, is being a sneaky chicken. Watch out!

Pierre modeling high chicken fashion.

Raoo hiding in the feeder.

Starhawk

Prongs showing off his weird comb.

This one is hilarious and completely unintentional.

Rosemary showing off what a pea comb is supposed to look like.

Daisy faking being broody. Every time she lays an egg, she acts like a broody until said egg is laid.

Goldie glaring at us for keeping him locked away from hens. No Goldie. We don't have enough hens for everyone to be comfortable wandering together.

Basil & Sam being quackers. They like to follow me around and distract me from taking photos.

Alex, d'Anver, trying to hide from the camera. She was in the frame, but tried ducking out. Silly girl. I still got your eye.

Gandalf, Japanese, being snooty on his new roost.

These last 7 pictures were ones I took at the Utah Fancy Poultry Show. They are not my birds, but I did take these photos of them.
