Here is our chicken Coop built in 2012; we modeled it after the the medium coop Wichita Cabin Coop - Boise Adaptation. Thanks so much for all the pictures and design tips. We live in mild California so no need for all the winterizing or air conditioning.
We decided to go bright on the color. We have 3 chickens (2 Araucana's and 1 Welsummer) for 7 months and loving it. One thing we wrestled with was the flooring in the outside portion of the coop, picked sand and have been very happy with it as its easy to sift and keep clean. All three are laying eggs now and happily sharing the 2 nest boxes we line with small pine shavings
