This is our first adventure into having ducks. My daughters and I decided to build a small semi-transportable coop for 6 female ducks (2 Blue Swedish, 2 Cayuga, 2 Welsh Harlequin) since we rent the property we live at. The coop is aprox 7 feet long and 4 feet wide. I still intend to add some heavy duty wheels and a metal roof to it. I added 1.5" and 2" rigid foam insulation to the walls and roof. We made the sides open for easier cleaning. We made is so you can open the roof. We added a roof that can be opened on the 'porch' part of the house. We added a closeable door between the 'porch' and house portion. We added a ramp from the porch to ground. It is probably way over built but it is a fun project.

We added a composite decking for the porch decking. We have a number of predators around our area (coyotes, feral cats, foxes, raccoons, skunks, and some hawks). We added another layer of 1/2"x1/2" hardware cloth over the 1"x1" welded wire. We did add 5 - 10" tires/wheels underneath to make it much more mobile.
