BARE NECESSITIES FARM is a 15-acre, mini-farm established in 1998. It is located an hour outside of the nation's capitol, Washington, D.C., in beautiful So. Md where the Potomac River in the west and the Patuxent River in the east meet and pour into the Chesapeake Bay.
At Bare Necessities Farm, we specialize in breeding (and sometimes showing) bantam and standard chickens in several breeds, muscovies, Chinese cresteds & collies. Many other animals also roam and enjoy the farm, including horses (Tenn. walkers and paints), mini horses, peafowl, geese, ducks, cats, and even an emu!
