Ebay eggs #1

The ebay eggs project is my reintroduction to backyard poultry. I have had chickens before always buying them as day old chicks. Some breeds I have kept are Lt. Brahma, Barred Rock, Silver Laced Wynodott, Buff Orpington. I have hatched turkeys before as well.
So I won my eggs on July 10, 2019. They were gathered the morning of the 15th and shipped that morning. I recieved the eggs on July 17th from Pennsylvania. They were well packaged, nothing broke or cracked in shipment. I unpacked all of them, the auction was for 12, I was sent 15. They were many different shades from dark brown to tan, pink, blue, and white. I set them to rest untill that evening I set them into my homemade incubator. Step 1 was done, now to see how things go for the next 21 days. Follow me as I update this series and find out are eggs ordered from ebay a viable option for the everyday person? Lets find out together.

I was born and raised in the foothills of Western Maine. I spent much of my youth on my grandparents Morgan ranch. Along with horses they kept many breeds of chickens. My favorite were the "Rock and Roll chickens," White Crested Black Polish.
After High school I enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Builder in the Seabees.
When I came home I started keeping my own flock. I have raise Light Brahmas, Buff Orpington, Barred Rock and Silver Laced Wyodotte.
I have never kept my own "Rock & Roll" chickens. This is on my bucket list.
