It hasn’t been through a Summer yet, so no feedback on temperature control. By then the residents should be free ranging and it shouldn’t be an issue.

Possible arrangement
I used a simpler option for now. Will go to this when I get my 5 gallon waterer and feeder built
egg, food, water access at wheeled end
5 gallon bucket nests and electric fence
full length roosts (2x6x10 ripped in half)
countersink PVC pipes redistributes tension to more surface area of the pipe. Used drill and 3/4” wood drill bit. Secure with conduit strap.
Washers hold both types of wire. The screw locks the wire and two pvc pieces together
tarp wind straps - inexpensive non-ratcheting straps
wind flap via bungee cord & screws to anchor
sharing electricity with the other two tractors
Wheels, door latches. electric holder

- It’s 8’wide x 10’ long x 3’ high at center.
- The arch uses seven 10’ 3/4” pvc arches and three 10’ 1/2” PVC for horizontal stabilization.
The ends are wood built from free 2x2s and 1x3 i got from the scrap pile at a local lumber store. - Full length roosts from 2x6x10” ripped in half.
- Nest boxes, waterer, and hanging feeder are on wheeled end to put weight over the wheels.
- Secured with hardware cloth on lower half and chicken wire on top. Extra deterrent with an electric fence all the way around the base.
- Two doors latch with twist blocks of wood.
- Tarp covers half now but has the ability to fold open to cover more. Secured with 1” wide anchor straps tied to screws. Bungee cords to minimize flapping. It’s been through 80 mph winds without any trouble.
- Tires are 8” solid rubber from harbor freight. 6” 5/8” carriage bolts for Axels, nuts, washers from hardware store
- Cold weather modification - I added a blue tarp to enclose one end during our week of below freezing temps; they did great and didn’t have shivering or frostbit combs.
