You did a fantastic job. Love the red windows nice touch. I notice the frame is new wood great for strength. Great simple design! I love the recycled items. Makes me want to save pallets if ever get another large shipment item. It is so beautiful and welcoming. The one thing I would change is it looks like black carpet inside coop on floor or a rough material? I would just make this a plastic hard flat sheeting so easy to wipe clean.

Sorry for the late reply @melky but I just saw this. The rubber backed floor mats I used for the bottom of the coop are not secured so it's easy for me to lift them out for cleaning. If I ever need to replace them I'll use your suggestion. Thank you!
This is so awesome! I loved how you used pallets to build your coop! Such a great ideas ?
I love this rustic coop and its exactly what I need for my flock of silkies. Thank you for sharing this.
Incredible what can be made out of some old pallets and reclaimed wood!
Detailed documentation of all steps of the build with lot's of pictures.

Thanks! I tried to use as many things I had on hand as possible and the bushel baskets were two of them!
Very cool concept, well thought out. The red trim around the windows is a great pop of color. Looks very tidy. Great job!!

Please let me know if you have any questions when you build it. I'm more than happy to share my process!
I love all the detailed photos
Nice job. I never considered straw for insulation. That's very clever.
This is beautifully done! Can you please add some details on how you added the straw insulation? You mentioned twine, but I don't see it - and how did you tack it into place so it isn't a choking or tangling hazard? I LOVE this!
