Dealing With Dogs Who Kill Chickens

Great article on what to do about the ever present problem of dogs and poultry. I'm glad it was clearly stated it wasn't always the dogs fault. Some great ideas about how to deal with this issue in a humane manner.

Im building my chicken run and my future flocks safety and my dogs safety are #1. I have retired racing greyhounds so a chicken is like a lure to them. I'm fortifing my chicken run from all sides to make sure no one can get in or out ( Its been a two year build). we are at the stage of installing an electric wire completely around the lower and upper part (racoons and squirls). I'm hopping my dogs will lose interest after a few months. (we got an chinchilla and they lost interest of her after a while) ... but this is always in the back of my mind.

Interesting & informative read on an ever present issue.
Well written approach for working with dogs that kill chickens
Cool, calm and collected. Dogs are generally not wild animals so a different approach is needed especially if you are the owner or know the owner.
