We do the same, but have a shed or doghouse attached. Not sure how yours works. You could add a few more photos to help explain it as setups like this are great for folks that can't afford a full-blown coop.

We also line our pen panels with 1/2" hardware cloth to help prevent predators.

That first shot is priceless! Big Mama, Big Babies, Little-bitty rooster ... all snuggled up beautifully. Why can't PEOPLE be like that?!
