So we had a slight change of plans teporarily; had to put a horse in that area for now. But I was able to get some free lumber to build the coop. So hopefully it will be framed soon!

After showing the plans I drew up, Clint pointed out some construction errors and I fixed them (making the studs run perpendicular to the bottom boards) and I really think he was secretly impressed.
The other funny thing is that we have in our posession an obese pony and we've had her for about 2 months now and she's not lost all that much weight because the horses, that use to push her away, are now accepting her and allowing her to eat with them. Pony's such a pig that we had to creat a new pen for her. That new pen is WHERE I WANT TO PUT MY COOP! So, I have to wait a bit to actually construct it. DARN!

I have decided to build a coop. I found the plans I wanted - well, I found this:

And then decided that I really wanted four separet pens so I altered it and basically re-drew it to have two side by sides. See here:

Anyway, I know you can't really see it, but I'm pretty proud. Now the next thing is to show the husband and hopefully he won't laugh too hard.
Here is where it is going:

Course all that junk will be gone and I'm salvaging the lumber on the fence that has no purpose! So as I build it, I will post pictures and updates.
    Thanks for looking! Erica (ecajean)
