My group of birds consists of the only rooster Lil' Bit the Barred Rock. He take care of 21 girls, 7 of which are hatchery Rhode Island Reds and the rest are Easter Eggers. I've raised Silkies in the past and have a few eggs coming in the mail. Meat bird reside in my barn from June to late July and the turkeys have a slightly longer stay. I keep my birds penned but the do free range at times.
