Forgotten Short Ribs

    3-4 lbs short ribs
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 tbsp black strap molasses
    2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    1/4 tsp. Liquid Smoke flavoring
    1 tbsp instant minced onions

    Cooking Instructions

    Sprinkle salt and pepper on all sides of the short ribs and put in Dutch oven or 3 quart casserole. In small sauce pan, combine tomato sauce with molasses, vinegar, liquid smoke and instant onions; bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over the short ribs; cover and bake in slow oven 275° for 3-4 hours. Serve with pasta or mashed potatoes.
