I believe laws are made at a certain times for certain needs and should evolve as times and our needs change.
Does anybody know about petitions or forums with the intent to modify and adjust those restrictions?
I have several neighbors besides me who have pet chickens in their backyard and I'm NOT willing to give my little buddies up, besides the eggs and the best soil fertilization ever my chickens have big therapeutic effect on me. Just being with them and watching them every morning recharges me with peace and balances my energy for the day. I wouldn't give that up for anything. So, I'm ready to fight the regulations. I heard the neighbor City of Oakland Park recognizes and allows properties with chickens and I believe ducks and whatnot. But I'm not sure. If there is a movement to change the restrictions in Ft Lauderdale I'd love to participate. Anybody out there with more info, more knowledge? peace
