Ingredients:

3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp baking powder
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1-1/4 c. lukewarm water

Cooking Instructions

Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add oil, blending quickly and lightly with the fingers. Add one cup of the water, then a little at a time until a soft dough forms. Knead smooth on a floured board. Cover with a tea towel and let it rest for 15 minutes or so until it loosens up. Divide into 12 balls. Roll out to thin circles with lightly floured rolling pin. Cook quickly on hot ungreased griddle.

Note: This was an absolute staple at the grandparent's ranch. I remember standing next to Grama by the stove, watching (and tasting) as she made the daily tortillas for dinner.
