This may be the one!. I love that it was designed to be used without electricity as that is an issue for me. And this design also creates the possibility of installing solar panels because of the roof configuration. Living in NW PA winter temperatures are an issue, as well as "sideways" rain in the spring. A roofline that is compatible with solar is excellent and the extra inside area helps with rain issues. So many good things about this design. Also a bonus is being able to stand up inside, unlike the Woods coop.
The other advantage I can see is the possibility of dividing it in half. I currently raise meat birds only in the summer and would like to extend the season to year round and have layers as well. I haven't been able to figure out how to do it without having two separate coops and runs, (I am currently using tractors) but I think that will be a possibility with some modifications of this design.
