"6.06.010 C. Rabbits and fowl. All rabbits and fowl within the city limits of the City shall be completely confined in an enclosure of adequate size having sides, one or more doors, a roof and a floor; and hall be kept in such enclosure at all times. No rabbit or fowl shall be permitted to run in an enclosure at all times. No rabbit or fowl shall be permitted to run in an enclosure pen, even through such pen, may be connected to a proper enclosure as provided above. (Ordinance #1029, passed 07-05-83)"
I also have the ordinance for wild animals, and domestic hoofed animals if anyone is interested. LOL Basically it is ok to keep chickens hens in town as long as they are housed properly. There are no limits on how many you have though you should be conscience about not having TOO many. You can have roosters in town, but some people have been cited due to noise ordinances.
