I have a 10 month old white crested black polish that has a hard time seeing because of it's crest of feathers, any suggestions for how I could pull it's feathers back so she could see better.I was also wondering if it would hurt her if I cut her feathers blocking her eyes.

It would be better to pluck than to cut, but it is possible. Just understand that if the feather is still growing, it will bleed (and hurt) when you cut it and it is difficult to clot in a feather. If that happens, just pluck the bleeding feather so that it will clot at the skin instead.

I used my son's braces bands to tie up the feathers on my Polish. They don't always stay on long, but serve to protect the top of the head in case the others are picking it raw.

    Good luck!
