    Hi,
I finally am taking the time to post my chicken coop construction project I completed in the backyard. I got the idea from some photos off of this site and basically tailored it to my needs. I really didn't have any blue prints per say but just generally had an idea of what size I wanted it to be in terms of space due to limits within the back property line. I use sand as a flooring in the pen area and pine shavings in the roost house.

Here are some photos I'd like to share of the construction:

Wonderful chicken coop; it achieves a lovely balance of sustainability, pleasing living area and animal comfort, long may you and the happy chickens enjoy it. After looking through so many over elaborate designs this is the one that comes the closest to what we aim to build in our own land. Thank you for posting the clear pictures.

Lovely coop. Looks strong and durable. Is there a Chanticleer to flirt with the ‘girls’?

This is an awesome coop! My two hens roost in my hobby greenhouse at night, but after viewing your photos I am inspired to build them a real house now (well, come spring at any rate!). Thanks for sharing the step-by-step details!
