I am happy to call Canton, Texas my home. I have lived here most of my life. I did leave to go to college where I met my wonderful husband of 16 years, Tony.
Tony and I have 4 wonderful children- 3 girls and 1 boy bringing up the rear. The girls are 15, 13, and 9. The one boy is 7 and all boy!
What started as a 4H project that was only supposed to last 4 months has lasted 2 years and became a family business. We started with 2 boer goats and now have 4 boer goats, 1 Saanen dairy goat, and 1 fainting goat- yes, a fainting goat. Four of the goats are pregnant. Add to that 2 chocolate labs and a Boykin Spaniel, a cat named Twister ( it was born the night a tornado came across our place), along with 3 chickens and you never have a dull moment.
There is no place I am happier than outside on my little farm. I love gardening and that is what prompted me to get chickens. Free fertilizer and organic bug control.
