How to deal with dem bad free-range chooks!

Cute story, good anecdotes. But, I was truly looking for information on how to keep chickens in the yard without a fence. Not much useful information here.

Build a fence? That's it? That's the way to deal with free ranging chickens?

Oh boy, you made me smile out loud! You have great perspective and humor and write what many are thinking in a humorous way. Chickens are little monsters!!! (but we love them) Yes, after all of the above we built a run then doubled the size of it 10 months later. I highly recommend adding toys to the runs too. (hang fruit or veggies). Thank you so much. I hope you try your hand at another article. I'd like to read more of your chicken stories.
