Here at *I.B.*, all of our feathered friends are treated as part of the family. Each one is respected as an individual, and kept very safe and loved.
I show my feathered friends at the majority of the Florida shows, as I am located in Central Florida. I have been showing seriously for about 9 years now, but was born into raising chickens. It is a hobby, a passion, and part of my life! I live on 5 acres in the heart of Florida surrounded by Oaks, and raise many birds other than chickens.
Here is what I have down in the Sunshine state:
I show my feathered friends at the majority of the Florida shows, as I am located in Central Florida. I have been showing seriously for about 9 years now, but was born into raising chickens. It is a hobby, a passion, and part of my life! I live on 5 acres in the heart of Florida surrounded by Oaks, and raise many birds other than chickens.

: I have a very good show history with my d'Uccle line. It originated in Georgia from a man named Mr. Russell Booth some 9 years ago. Ever since, the now named *Impeckable Bantams* line has taken Variety and Breed in MANY More about my d'Ucclesshows. I can even credit 2 Best of Shows to one of my little hens; if you raise d'Uccles, you know because they are so uncommon it is almost impossible to win Show, at least down here!

She is not looking so hot in this picture because she is in molt, but this girl is the mother, grandmother, great grandmother, etc. of all of my Porcelain d'Uccles. I owe it all to her! This is all of her high wins: left to right->top to bottom: best of show-2004; best hen-2004; Grand champion/grand champion bantam-2007 (bottom ribbons): best of breed; "blue award"; best of breed; first place; best of variety; reserve breed, best of breed (plaque: reserve of class)

Each of the offspring are banded and numbered according to their parents, and each one purchased will come with a "Pedigree" stating who the parents are (similar to a dog's pedigree). I request that the band stay on the bird when purchased. Most birds will not be ready to be sold until they are 6-12 months old. I can put you on a waiting list, though. However, I can not gaurantee that you will get a bird this year, due to the limited supply of chicks. I will do my best to fill everyone's order, though!
If you are interested in seeing pictures of any certain bird, or would like to be put on a waiting list, please feel free to email me!
I will post the availability here on the chart as soon as something comes up and keep it updated! Also email me for interests in any other breeds!

Betta Splendens
No, it's not chickens, but here is a whole new topic. I was able to breed (spawn) these Bettas (aka. Siamese Fighting Fish). The male is a gorgeous Half Moon I named Spangle. The female is a very nice red Crowntail named Star. If all goes well, I will soon have many little Bettas. Right now, the babies (fry) hatched and are starting to swim around. For those who do not know, here is how spawning Bettas goes, though it is not this simple!: The male builds a huge nest out of bubbles that he blows. When he entices the female to come over, he gently embraces her in a "U", and from that embrace will spill 1-3 or as many as 25 opaque white eggs. The male lets go and swims down to catch the eggs that fall to the floor. He the spits them in to the nest. This goes on for up to 3 hours. In my case, or their case I should say, this lasted for 2&1/2 hours and I counted around 535 eggs...ya, that's no type-o! And it's not unusual, either. Some spawns yeild up to 1,000 eggs, but usually about 300-400. In about 36 hours, the eggs hatch into pro-larvae that are face up in the "bubblenest". They are literally 1-1&1/2mm long! They can't swim either, so they are continually falling out of the nest, and then dad comes and picks them up and spits them back into the nest. For 2 days, dad contiues this job until the fry can swim and then he is removed (or he will eat them!) and they begin eating only live, microscopic food. I culture Infusoria and feed it to them and soon they can eat slightly larger food, such as Brine Shrimp nauplii, which if you hadn't guessed, I have to hatch! I have quite a few pictures of the parents, the spawn, and the fry.
I call the parents "Star & Spangle Banner".
