Old Post Farm
On 12 acres in the woods of Vermont, my husband and I have a teensy organic farm with veggie gardens, apple trees, berry bushes, and - of course - chickens and ducks! Our flock of 25 laying hens, pullets, and roos free-range all day, every day, then spend their nights in a spacious coop that used to be a sugar shack for boiling maple sap into maple sugar. 10 Pekin ducklings spend their days on our little pond then head up into their cute little duck house at night. 30 or so meaties are growing up on pasture - dual purpose cockerals and Cornish Cross that a local kindergarten class hatched as a school project. We also share the farm with Jackson, our 3 year old black lab, and 1 or 2 foster dogs from a local animal rescue that are waiting to be adopted into their forever homes. Check out our website and the pictures below, and feel free to email me if you want to talk about anything!
