Additional Information | Sec. 26-23. Animals. Up to four household pets are permitted in the residential zones. For the purposes of this paragraph, household pets shall include dogs, cats, parrots, canaries and other house birds of a similar nature, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, white rats, white mice, turtles, salamanders, newts, chameleons, kangaroo rats, nonpoisonous reptiles not over six feet long, any nonpoisonous toad, lizard or spider, and other animals of a similar nature. Any unweaned litter from such household pets not over six months old shall be permitted. Fowl (other than house birds), horses, sheep, cattle, pigs, goats, and similar farm animals are prohibited. Fish shall be excluded from the limitations established by this paragraph. Regardless of any permissions granted by this paragraph, all dangerous animals, as defined by this code, shall be prohibited. (Ord. 2003-07 § 3 (Exh. A part).) |
