This is my first attempt at a BLOG. We will see how it goes.
A little background. Hubby and I were High School Sweethearts, broke up and got back together 20 something years later. We have been married for 6 years and are slaves to all our animals
We breed and Show APHA & AQHA Horses, we have 2 babies on the way.
We also raise Jack Russell Terriers, ours are Shorites or Puddins (less than 12") Our dogs are CKC and NKC Registered. They are raised in a loving household environment and also around other animals.
We also have a very nice Male Jack Russell standing at Stud. LHF Heza Lucky Man aka Lucky stands 10" tall is tri-color and very muscular. Stud Fee $150.00 live puppy guarantee.
Our Horse include 2 AQHA broodmares MSP An African Queen aka Queenie, this mare has produced some awesome babies that Halter and Ride. She is bred for 2009 to our stallion Intensely Handsome.
We also have Kelos Foxy Lady aka Lady , she is also bred to Intensely Handsome for 2009.
Intensely Handsome aka Handsome 2006 Sorrel Overo Stallion. He stands 16 hands at the hip right now and growing. We are looking forward to seeing what he can put on his babies, he is also for sale.
We also have two young mares: APHA, IBHA, ABRA Dun Mare Simply A Margarita aka Conny. This 2006 mare is awesome. She has been raised her and started under saddle and doing very well.
APHA Solid Sorrel Mare Decisive Beauty aka Diva This young mare was only halter broke a couple weeks ago, she is so intelligent she leads, loads, clips and ties already without any fuss. She is a big girl standing 16.2 at the hip. I plan to start her under saddle in the next couple of months.
We started in chickens last year. I got 4 for my hubby at Easter. We still have 2 of the original girls. Our RIR "Matilda" and our Buff Orpington "Babs"
We have added Standard Cochins, I bought a breeding pair of Blacks in April, Rhett and Scarlett. We have since added a Splash Hen "Tara" and a Splash Cockerel "Stoney". Rhett passed away this Christmas, he will be severly missed.
We have several Buff Orpingtons and some Blues also, We will eventually have the Orps seperated.
Our Laying Pen will be Matilda (RIR) Our Lakenvelder, and will likely include some WYandottes and possibly Andalusias or Minorcas.
Our Show Birds will be Phoenix. We have 2 Silver Males now (Fred & Barney) Fred is the better male and will stay. Barney will be sold. We found a Silver Female for Fred, her name is "Wilma". They have been a busy pair and have givin us several White's. Our BBR Pair arrived, they are beautiful.
Thats about it for now, we are up to our eyes in horses, dogs and chickens. But we love it!
