Lots A Cluckins Chickens Egg Record Chart

  1. Lots A Cluckin
This is my attempt at keep a record book of my chickens egg laying cycles like if she lays for 5 days straight and takes a 1 day break and starts over again, I want to know who lays when what the egg looks like (big or small, light or dark) and how many egg I get each day, week, and month, I will also put when someone goes broody, is she is hatching any eggs, and what the hatch rate is. I will also say what season it is (spring, summer, fall, or winter) and what the weather is like (hot, cold, sunny, cloudy or rainy)...I think it will be fun to see who the best layer is and what everyone cycle is and if the weather affects their cycle.

I am putting this on hold until I can find where the rest of the pullets are laying I know we have more laying pullets than the eggs we are getting because about a week ago I got one extra egg and the next day I let them out of their coop and run for the first time and I think she found a "better" place to lay and I am pretty sure I have others that are laying because several times a day I hear them singing the eggs song...so now I just have to find where they are laying....maybe I should leave them in the coop and run for a couple of days and see if I get any more eggs that way and maybe get them to like the nesting boxes.
