Making Chicken Wire Invisible

    I use one inch chicken wire for all of my runs with twelve inches of hardware cloth at the bottom. Bright shiny wire is a distraction and makes it hard to get a clear view of the birds.

    It's easy to make the wire practically invisible by painting it black. I used a roller and painted the wire in only a few minutes. Now I can watch the Silkies without being blinded by bright silvery chicken wire:
